VimMail Installation

VimMail

Once VimMail is installed, configure using the form below.

TIP: If there is a current setup of VimMail, the settings from the “UserSettings.xml” file can be copied to the setup form.

Incoming Mail Server Section

  1. User Name: Enter the server User Name.

    NOTE: If email functionality is not needed, leave this field blank. This field is used when setting up an email address for automatically creating service requests in VimBiz.

  2. Password: Enter the server Password.
  3. Incoming Server: Enter the Exchange Server name.

VimBiz Database Section

  1. Windows Authentication: Enable if using Windows Authentication to connect to the database.
  2. User Name: If using SQL Authentication, enter the VimBiz connection User Name.
  3. Password: Enter the VimBiz connection Password.
  4. Server: Enter the SQL Server name.
  5. VimBiz Database: Enter the VimBiz database name.
  6. VimDev Database: Enter the VimDev database name.

Other

  1. Enable Send Mail: Enable to allow VimMail to send emails.
  2. Enable Receive Mail: Enable to allow VimMail to receive emails.
  3. Check All Mail: Not currently used.
  4. Enable: Enable to activate the Service Timer.
  5. Inverval (sec): Enter the interval, in seconds, that the Timer is executed, if enabled.
